Edge-driven dome tweeters provide better power handling than balanced-dome tweeters by providing more heat-dissipating surface area in the voice coil. We use larger tweeter diaphragms because we always know where the listeners will sit in a car. It’s not like in a house, where many listening positions must be accommodated.
Three-ohm DCR Voice Coils
